Metlika: To the house of local delicacies

The Bela krajina House of Delicacies presents providers of a range of characteristic local products, showing special respect for folk tradition. Here you can meet local masters who prepare typical local dishes. The workshop teaches you to prepare Bela krajina cake – the most famous dish from the area between the Kolpa river, Gorjanci, and the Kočevje forests. Its characteristic flavour, enriched with cumin and coarse salt, goes great with the wines of this region. You will prepare this traditional cake under the watchful eye of experts, and afterwards you can take it home with you.
