Črnomelj hosts the oldest folklore festival in Slovenia which is attended by folklore groups from all over the world. In addition to traditional dances and songs from the Bela Krajina region, the event is complemented by a market of local delicacies and handicrafts, which testifiy to the rich cultural heritage of the area.
