Cop na lop

‘Cop na lop’ is a savoury cottage cheese cake. The dish can be made with leavened white, buckwheat or spelt dough. It is baked in a brick oven on a peel (Slovenian ‘lopar’, hence its name), and served warm, often dusted with powdered sugar. It comes from the hills surrounding Kostanjevica na Krki, where you can taste it.
